Chester French

For those of you who don't know, I'm also a columnist over at the mega-popular streetwear/lifestyle blog M.I.S.S Crew, where I write about film, fashion, sneakies, and music. I just wrote an awesome review about one of our faves, Chester French, so go here to check it out!

Nike SB's "Debacle"

The creative brains over at Nike SB have been stewing, and the result is the above trailer of their HD skate video, entitled "Debacle". Set to debut in the mecca of street-skating, Los Angeles, on June 10th, SB sponsored skaters Shane O'Neill, Daryl Angel, David Clark, Grant Taylor, and Justin Brock take you on a ride you'll never forget. Featuring a series of expertly edited shots and wild tricks and jumps, the trailer is definitely just a teaser for the amazingness yet to come. I can't wait to see the finished product, and catch a glimpse of some of the exclusive SBs that the skaters will be rockin.

Met Costume Institue Gala 09

Little Miss Rhi Rhi arrives at the Met Costume Institute Gala 09 in a suit by Dolce & Gabbana.
Featuring expert tailoring, a cropped leg, and angular, insanely puffed sleeves. As always, details are paramount to her outfit-- check out the gloves, petite bowtie, and ruffled shirt.

I'm feeling it-- but it's not everyone's cup of tea. What do you all think?

Design for the Perpetually Broke

I recently moved into my very first "grown up" studio, which has remained largely unfurnished for the last month and a half.

It's been wonderful living alone! But, not so wonderful living alone and sitting/eating/working on the floor. I wish I could afford chairs and other furniture, but with the state of the economy + my clothing addiction/needs, I don't see that happening quite just yet...

Here are some pieces I'm craving, anyone have any suggestions on where to get cheap, funky furniture and decorative items in NYC?

I love the print on this Marie Antoinette Fainting Table.
Anyone got $575 to spare?

I have neither use nor space for this, but it's fucking awesome!
Opening bid is set at $125.00.

Ah, the stuff dreams are made of!

Half- Yid Bangers

Just found out a new one's on the list...

Lauren London

Lauren discusses her acting career (and her presence in Pharrell's Star Trak camp), as well as growing up half-Black and half- Jewish, in the latest issue of Complex Magazine.

She's definitely a banger that's worthy of joining my Half-Yid girl crush list, along with Zoe Kravitz.

Take a peek at another half-Black/half-Jewish banger below as well (hopefully your favorite blogger!)...
