Foot Fetish

Yeezy's main squeezy rocking the Burberry Prorsum booties we've all been lusting over for the last few months.

Can I holla
... at the shoes?
I want to have their baby!

Buckle Up

I bought these version 2.0 wedges yesterday from our Secret Store and I must profess that they are incredibly comfortable. Normally, my feet are too small and the heel to high for me to feel comfortable in shoes such as these, but this pair is lightweight, angled properly, and an all-around dream to wear with a cute pair of socks or tights. Plus, they only cost this much.

I call them version 2.0's because they're a knock off of the Chole Sevigny x Opening Ceremony Wedges.

Bedrock

Who cares about all these other barneys in this video (Drake + Weezy included)? It's all about Nicki Minaj in the Ashish x Topshop zebra wedges. She stepped her pussy--I mean shoe game-- up.

The top goal of my new 5 Year Plan is definitely to stop being a Strawberry Shortcake and become an Alfred Bitchcock. Because using the Nictionary is the only thing that makes me feel smart these days...

I Need a Supply

I've known about online retailer Need Supply for a good amount of time now, but it's been a while since I've checked in with their site, mostly because I've been boycotting all online shopping in an attempt not to further max out my credit card. My debt runs deep! But that's another story... I logged on to Need Supply recently and fell in LOVE with their selection of shoes, particularly the range of low heeled, sassy booties.

Ummm... two words: GIMME, please!

Check out my picks below...

Copper, Mane...

I really adore these Raf Simmons x Dr. Martens collabo joints, and I want them. Like REALLY bad! They remind me of the copper-painted man I used to watch for hours when I was a kid in San Francisco's Union Square. He used to stand there, completely still, painted in copper from head to toe. I don't know exactly why he did it. That was just his thing. And I was completely fascinated by it.

Do you think if I buy these I'll be able to stand still? Even for a second? I'm overly active so maybe not. But I still want them anyways!

You can but them here.

I Just Keep It On the Down-Low

Ughhhhh.

A Wang! Why must you tease me so with your perfectly smart creepers! A pointed toe, tassled detailing and the sexiest buckled cross-strap. Oh, and don't think your subtle quilting at the tippy-top went unnoticed!

Major shoe crush. Swoon.
Buy the creepers here and die happy.

Shoe Art

Christian Louboutin's upcoming ad campaign is one of the more thoughtful, evoking fashion campaigns in recent seasons. Drawing from the classicism of 18th century still life, Louboutin teamed up with photographer Peter Lippmann and creative director Nicolas Menu to produce an intense series of portraits that place the shoe within a complete and extremely detailed scene. Featuring melanges of fruits, sweets, wines, and other delectables, the shoes look just as tempting as the rest of the objects in the scene. The shadowing (which is reminding me a lot of the dramatic vividness of 17th century Dutch master Rembrandt) gives the shots a sense of dark sexiness-- these shoes aren't for the faint of heart. The campaign is truly a reminder that fashion can be nothing short of art.

Gladiators: Take Two!

Good news for all the ladies out there that can't get enough of the swoosh, but are craving some sandals for the summertime... Colette is now carrying the super stylish Nike Gladiator sandals, possibly inspired by the Nike Remix project, for spring. Priced at 80.00 Euros (roughly $110), the Womens Gladiator Mid will definitely be a head-turning, practical addition to any fly chick's summer wardrobe. Enjoy ladies!

Foot Fetish?

One of my favorite blogs/shopping site, NastyGalVintage, just did a profile on an interesting new trend that is giving a kick of artistic expression--quite literally-- to your favorite heels. Shoe accessories are making a comeback, from the big and bold to the small and intricate. Companies such as Boos & Besitos and Posso the Spat are paving the way for shoe jewelry such as oversized, slocuhed socks, attachable corsage tie ons, and shin guards to make a statement again. I am personally feeling this trend, as it's a fairly simple way of providing punch to an outfit, and an even simpler way of making a funky transition from day to night.

Check out a pic of my favorite shoe ornament below, and peep the rest over at NastyGal.

Elizabeth and James x Steve Madden

Elizabeth and James, the namesake line of fashionista twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, has just released preview images of their upcoming fall collaboration with mid-priced retailer Steve Madden. The line, which will NOT be sold at Steve Madden stores, will feature a talented design and production team assembled by Monsieur Madden, while the Olsens will retain their vision with positions as Creative Director and VPs of Design. In muted tones and featuring simple designs, the collection in a practical, mid-priced range of basics that will last for seasons to come. My favorite by far are the "Edge" cage sandals, which come in both black leather and muted brown suede-- simple and cute! Not so much feeling the moccasins though. Check out the rest of the collection below, and pre-order the rest on Nordstrom.com.

Caliente!

The Louis Vuitton Spicy Sandal.

In a variety of textures and prints, from the above featured cheetah, to lush burgundy suede and shiny snakeskins, the LV "Spicy" sandal was the standout shoe at Fashion Week in Paris this past spring. With slim roped ankle straps and tribal accented beads, it's easy to understand why the shoe was such a hit. Featuring a gilded, slim platform and feathered, lace-up detailing, we haven't seen anything quite as adventurous as this slim stiletto in recent seasons.

I am personally loving the totem-pole esque vibe of the shoe. It gives a classically sexy heel a more tribal, playful vibe. As you can see in the pics above and below, the shoe will be great paired with jeans, or with tights and can definitely stand alone as the statement piece in an outfit.

If you can afford an exorbitant amount (prices range from $1540 to $2800), click here to get details on how to be one of the first to own the shoe of the season that is gracing the heels of the fashion world's hottest!
