All Things Animal

Animal Prints are the way to my heart. And, thanks to their newest selection, Nasty Gal Vintage currently has my heart under lock-and-key. You have to be careful with animal print, it can get gross if done incorrectly. But the styling on these shots is perfect, everything looks edgy and sleek.

I've been having lustful dreams about the above button-up neck scarf. Must haves.

I Need a Supply

I've known about online retailer Need Supply for a good amount of time now, but it's been a while since I've checked in with their site, mostly because I've been boycotting all online shopping in an attempt not to further max out my credit card. My debt runs deep! But that's another story... I logged on to Need Supply recently and fell in LOVE with their selection of shoes, particularly the range of low heeled, sassy booties.

Ummm... two words: GIMME, please!

Check out my picks below...

The Time Has Come

Thank the lordy they're accepting all major credit cards! Couldn't care less if it bumps my monthly minimum up a couple of bucks, you know I'm going to be coppin left and right!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH, so excited!

Vintage Sale!

Funky Fannys
is joining the Brooklyn Flea this weekend to bring you their awesome vintage wares (last time I was at one of their sales, I scored a ridiculously cute striped 80s power-woman button up!). But even better than vintage, is vintage that is priced at just $10! No, not a typo, but they are really bringing you the heat at their "Gone Wild" sale-- everything is just $10 bucks!! If you're out, say hi because you KNOW I'mma be in the building!

I Own!

If there's one thing that I do consistently, and have been doing consistently since I was about 14, it's shopping. Along the way, I've picked up some pretty funky items, and some really unique pieces. I've decided to create a periodical column to share some of my best purchases with you guys, my readers, just because keeping my best purchases to myself is too boring at this stage.

Anways, first installment... I bought this vintage tooled leather purse from Screaming Mimis, near St Marks Street, in NYC. The bright, candy-colored painted on flowers combined with the intricate Aztec-esque detailed carvings on the front and under the flap really drew me to the bag, and I'm so happy it's mine!

On same said shopping trip, I also scooped up a dope pair of vintage shades at Eye Candy by Ron Caldwell. Not my first time in the tiny boutique, I always have an amazing time in there checking out the insane, off the wall vintage shoes and hats they stock--authentic-high-as-hell platforms from the 70s! pillbox Jackie O hats! The owner, an Andy Warhol coifed dude with a fantastic voice, informed me that the pair of glasses I was coppin' were the same pair (or same style at least) that Ellen Page rocked in everyone's favorite preggers teen flick, Juno. How ill! If you're ever in New York, I definitely recommend a trip to Eye Candy, just for the wildness that is bound to unfurl!

Lastly, after all that vintage scouring, I made a stop at my Secret Store and picked up this really cute woven scarf.

All in all, a good days' worth of purchases! I was pretty damned proud of myself...

I'll keep updating you guys on all the great shit I blow my hard earned money on... and I'm sorry about the bad pics, but I promise they'll get better!

Let Them Eat Gas!

The best Jeremy Scott collection ever is now available online at Fruition LV. The Spring/Summer 09 collection, called "Let Them Eat Gas!", features Scott's trademark bright colors and innovative tailoring. Like everything nice in life, the prices are much too high for my little wallet to handle, but I still lust from afar...

Check out my favorite pieces below. The floral print leggings-- need those in my life!

Topshop Grand Opening!

For those of you who haven't read a blog in weeks, news flash-- Topshop is opening today!

The first stateside branch of the immensely popular UK brand will open today in Soho, New York. The four-level, 25,000 sq. foot store will feature an 11AM ribbon cutting ceremony with supermodel/designer Kate Moss (whose collaboration line with Topshop will be available for sale as well) snipping the red ropes. Other capsule collections to be sold in the massive retailer include UK fashion faves Preen and Jonathan Saunders, and the entire 3rd floor is devoted to an extensive Shoe Salon! For those of you who will be spending all of your money on pretty dresses and heels, never fear because Topshop's got you covered-- their in-house Style Studio will offer on-the-spot fashion consulting, but scones and jam as well! Makeup Forever, Valley, and Woodley & Bunny will be offering makeovers and pampering as well to all interested customers, so you can leave looking fresh!

The lovely Wendy L of Nitrolicious fame was able to get some sneak-peak previews of the new lineup, and thank god she did because i am in LOVE! The wall of oxfords, the combat bootie heels, the gilded sandals, the STUDDED BOOTIES!

Need. Desperately.
