Hellz Loves Us! They Really Do!

If this isn't proof enough that my fashion lover, Hellz Bellz, and I are meant to be, then I don't know what is!

Images of the sportswear company's collaboration with Reebok were just leaked today on HighSnobette, and what do you know-- the sneak has lovingly been coined the "Ladies First" model!! A black high top featuring bright yellow laces, a tightly perforated leather upper, and subtle row of spiky studs, the Ladies First is exactly what we would have expected from Hellz' foray into footwear! Always paying the upmost attention to detail, Hellz Bellz included understated design choices such as a fold-down polka dotted upper and cushiony insoles reading "I'm Ten Steps Ahead of You!". Finished off with the signature Hellz nail polish bottle logo, the slogan is mean to inspire the ladies to always be FIRST in the game!

I cannot wait for these to drop! They're exactly what makes me so swoon-y about Hellz in the first place. The design is edgy (see the studs and neon-yellow laces) and fun, while still being entirely wearable. Unlike other brands (cough cough *Nike* cough cough), Hellz understands that marketing casualwear to women means more than just slapping some pink and glitter on a sneaker and calling it a day.

That's why we're soulmates. And clearly Hellz knows this! At least that's what the voices in my head keep telling me...

Check out some close ups of the Ladies First Reebok x Hellz Bellz collaboration below!

You're Turning Me On...

I almost always only have one thing on my brain. Usually, that thing is food. But today my mind has been wandering and keeps coming back time and again to these amazing Nike Blazers. I previously blogged oodles of love for them, but when I was out and about today and saw a random chick stomping about in them, my feelings towards these lavender SBs intensified from slight sneaker crush to full blown unrequited love. Lush light purple suede, snake-skin swoosh... my heart palpitates uncontrollably each time I visualize these babies! I can't help but fantasize about sliding them over my sock-covered toes. Pulling the padded tongue over the edge of my skinny jeans. Lacing up the black strings. Wiggling my toe around under the suede-capped toe. Lusting over the reptilian swoosh in the mirror.

Let me stop before it gets too hot in here...

Rockin' the Blazers

We know these have blown up all over the net already...

But get our girl, Princess Rhi Rhi, looking fresh to death in a Keith Haring jacket and some limited edition Purple Suede SB Blazers. The kicks are beautiful-- I want a pair really badly!

Not feeling the hair though, but our girl always comes correct!

Gladiators: Take Two!

Good news for all the ladies out there that can't get enough of the swoosh, but are craving some sandals for the summertime... Colette is now carrying the super stylish Nike Gladiator sandals, possibly inspired by the Nike Remix project, for spring. Priced at 80.00 Euros (roughly $110), the Womens Gladiator Mid will definitely be a head-turning, practical addition to any fly chick's summer wardrobe. Enjoy ladies!

I'm not much for her music or her new track "I'll House You" but Kid Sister is just too adorable! Check her out in this press release video, and read more about her collaboration with Reebok for their Classic Remix Campaign over at my other home on the web, M.I.S.S.

Vans New Era Summer Collection

I am a huge fan of the Vans New Era line, as the " skippies" are the perfect compliment for the wardrobe of any chick on the go. The release of their summer line features a light and neutral color palate that will certainly prove easy to match with almost any summer bright, from a dress to shorts. Solid colorways (tan and grey) are available, as well as a colorway featuring Vans' signature checks, albeit in a more sophisticated paneled look.

My favorites have to be the grey/off-white and all-grey colorways, I can totally rock those with red and look fly! Peep the rest below...

Kicks of a New Type...

The wonderfully stylish writer of one of my favorite blogs, Karla's Closet, has uploaded new photos of her rockin' a pretty pair of BCBGirl sneaker wedges. I am in love with this trend for summer! And this is a great start-- check the zippers on the inside.

It's Here!

Clear your calendars for this Sunday, March 01, because it's that time of year again, the time every young lady waits patiently for... SNEAKER CON!

Brainchild of the founders of sneakernews.com, nitrolicious.com, and freshnessmag.com, the one-day event is a Buy/Sell/Trade convention that will feature the dopest in Nike, Adidas, Puma (and any other damn sneaker brand you can think of!) footwear and apparel. Over thirty vendors will be on the scene to provide some of the most devoted heads with access to rare Jordans, Vintage Air Forces, and extremely limited collabo collections.

Although admission on this is $10.00, you'll have access to some of the rarest items in the market and music by DJs Complex and IXL will be provided.

Peep the flyer below, chock full of all the details you need. See you all on Sunday!

Finally

After putting out a slew of nutty-colored, unrealistic garbage for the ladies this past winter, Nike is stepping up to the plate with a new Spring releases. From the youthful-minded Nike 6.0 line, the Dunk High features a bright green/hunter green/purple/orange colorway and is a seductive mix of nubuck, suede, and leathers.

Finally! A fun, bright sneaker for women that isn't just a collection of various shades of pink. I'm happy to see that Nike can offer consumers a sophisticated colorway that steps outside the box of what is traditionally "girly". While these Dunks definitely still have a feminine tinge to them, the addition of the hunter green lends a masculine edge to the sneaker, taking it from fantasy to reality.  Set to hit the stores in limited release, these will probably sell out fast so make sure to cop yours early.

Does Anyone Have $550 I Can Borrow?

I love these Marc by Marc Jacobs Woven Boxer Booties. Can't you just picture yourself rockin' these with black cuffed shorts, a peach colored drapey top, and a crazy-yet-charmingly-cute fedora on a Saturday morning at brunch?

Too bad I can't afford brunch, or these booties because they are $550.

If you have $550, buy them here and check out more pics below!

Damn, Son!

How dope are the new high tops from Martin Margiela?!

A hybrid of a new Supra-inspired high top shape  and a vintage, cool grey look, the kick is the best of both worlds! I am drooling over these babies. They remind me of history, sophistication, and classic streetwear. I can just imagine slipping these on and feeling in a "She's Gotta Have It" state of mind!

Wait. Double take-- the shoe is $595 at Barneys.

Knock Off Gone Bad?

I have been sweatin' these Ash hightops for a while now. Made from premium leather and accented with buckled straps, it is the perfect example of what detailing can do to take a low-end item straight to the top.
However, as beautiful as it was, I was debating spending the $165.00 (plus tax!) on it at Urban, since I can barely afford food at the moment.

However, as usual, my secret store came to the rescue with a decent knock-off for less than $30!

WHY is Jadakiss as Hard as It Gets...

and WHY in the damn hell would Converse put out this miserable excuse for a Chuck Taylor?

I saw this in Journey's this weekend. It was all fogged up and sweaty, looking as nasty as it wanted to look. I was baffled, shocked... I think I threw up a little bit in my mouth. Sneakerheads everywhere have been wrong, a desecration has been committed. But when I logged on to their website I received the ultimate shock...

People actually LIKE these things.

Cassette Playa's New Heat

I know you guys have seen this elsewhere by now, so I'll spare you the agony of reading a 900th review on them (I'm slackin!). All I want to say is that these are fiyah! Cassette Playa is doing it, and doing it well. Cop the limited edition Blazers stateside at select Nike Sportswear stores.

One more pic for your hungry eyes...

The Skinny Dunk Drops...

The first of Nike's freshly minted "Skinny Dunk" for women, this slimmer profile high top is released just in time for the holidays on Nike's web store. Featuring subtle red accents on the sole, tongue and back, this all-black suede Dunk is a good option to pair with everything from jeans to a nice top. Although I am a bit disappointed in the relatively boring colorway, it's at least better than the Liberty Print foolishness that Nike will drop come spring.
