In a variety of textures and prints, from the above featured cheetah, to lush burgundy suede and shiny snakeskins, the LV "Spicy" sandal was the standout shoe at Fashion Week in Paris this past spring. With slim roped ankle straps and tribal accented beads, it's easy to understand why the shoe was such a hit. Featuring a gilded, slim platform and feathered, lace-up detailing, we haven't seen anything quite as adventurous as this slim stiletto in recent seasons.
I am personally loving the totem-pole esque vibe of the shoe. It gives a classically sexy heel a more tribal, playful vibe. As you can see in the pics above and below, the shoe will be great paired with jeans, or with tights and can definitely stand alone as the statement piece in an outfit.
If you can afford an exorbitant amount (prices range from $1540 to $2800), click here to get details on how to be one of the first to own the shoe of the season that is gracing the heels of the fashion world's hottest!
I can't deny it-- I'm glad that Little Miss Rihanna is back on the scene. This time, she's returned with some kick ass tattoos and a lengthier updo that's perfect for spring!
I am really feeling the tattoos. They are very unexpected-- gun tattoos are always a nice surprise, especially on a female as dainty as she. Great placement as well...viva la Rhi-Rhi!
Check out images of additional gun tatt below, and pics of her 'fits (and new do) while house hunting in the Hollywood Hills.

The wonderfully stylish writer of one of my favorite blogs, Karla's Closet, has uploaded new photos of her rockin' a pretty pair of BCBGirl sneaker wedges. I am in love with this trend for summer! And this is a great start-- check the zippers on the inside.
One of our favorite lines, MTTM, has just released images of their second installment Spring Collection. Less of the fun, feminine style that was featured in their first collection of the season, the new release is a return to the gritty streetwear that first made the brand popular. With a newer, distressed take on their infamous 24th St Jean and a slew of brand-spanking-new logo T-shirts, this is definitely a line to rock with your kicks. However, the ladies have still managed to branch out this time around with the debut of their first round of dresses! A long tunic-esque T-shirt dress and a nylon bubble-skirted number prove to be a promising start for the streetwear heavyweight.
My favorite item is definitely the above polo shirt-- peep the logo lips on the popped collar! Pure fiyah!
Check out the rest of the sexily shot collection below...
Bringing back the basic jeans that rep for MTTM....
Following the complex events of the past month, Swag Princess Rihanna made one of her first public appearances at the Manhattan restaurant Da Silvano.
I won't speak on the events that have been unfolding in the media because anyone who knows me, knows how I feel about them, but I will say that I'm glad the fashionista is back on the scene-- Keyisha Cole's weak-ass swag just ain't the same!
The vest is a little much for me, but the rest of this outfit is all about the details! The delicate grey gloves, the racer-esque jeans. Brilliant! Peep a close-up below.
I was browing the archives over at Blogue when I spotted a beautifully done photo shoot inspired by one of my artistic idols, Frida Khalo. Taking a unique spin on her work, Living Proof Magazine decided to recreate some of her most popular pieces with the help of two high-fashion models (including Top Model alum Jaslene Gonzalez), and contemporary pieces of streetwear. Designers such as Claw Money, Hellz Bellz, and Triple 5 Soul are featured in the layout, which honors the spirit of Frida's work in the vivid coloring and intense attention to replication. The stylization of the photography allows the images to look less like editorial spreads, and more like recreations of Frida's exquisite painted imagery.
Loeffler Randall has been taking steps to slowly dominate the shoe game for a while now. Launched by husband-and-wife team Jessie Loeffler Randall and Brian Murphy out of their Brooklyn loft in 2004, the line of retro-esque, understated footwear has garnered a CFDA award for the team, and stockists such as Barney's and Jeffrey New York. From Cameron Diaz, to Jessica Biel, and Vanessa Hudgens, celebrities have swooned over the brand for seasons now. In particular, their "Matilde" boot has gained a wide following, in large part thanks to a practical yet chic design, and walkable wedge.
So we all know they make great boots. But with summer on the horizon, it's time to break out the sandals. Never to be outdone, Loeffler Randall's summer collection wows with detailed, elegant picks for summer's warmest days. With simple designs, the elegance of the heels and flats is all in the details. Lush suede, buttery leathers, pure linen, and a jolt of snakeskin elevate the durable designs from pedestrian to high-end.
Check out our picks from the summer line below, and cop yours at Shopbop.
... and for all you devoted fans of the "Matilde"... never fear, a summer version is here!
Peeps pics of Kanye West and his new lady-du-jour, model Amber Rose, out and about during Paris Fashion Week. Definitely shining, the couple is a walking fashion show.
As great as they look together, I get the sneaky suspicious that Kanye is taking the easy way out by wifing up the video vixen. Is anyone else reminded of the movie The Way We Were (1973)?
In the chick-flick classic, Hubbell (played by dashing Robert Redford) dumps the loopy-yet-lovable Katie (not-quite-stunning Barbara Streisand) because she makes like "too complicated". Hubbell can't handle Katie, an independent and intelligent, classy woman, and instead takes the easy way out by choosing a beautiful, if vapid, woman.
Sound like Kanye and Amber Rose? Now, I dont know Amber Rose, but the chick's claim to fame is her near-nude appearance in Smooth Mag. The couple never quite seem too happy to be together, they just stay posing up! Anyone else notice how eerie that is?!Meanwhile, Alexis Phifer (Kanye's ex), is the owner and creative director of her own fashion line. Their public appearances always portrayed them as a happy, balanced couple who shared a love of each other and a joy for life.
I guess all I have to say to Kanye is "Your girl is lovely, Hubbell!"
One of our favorite streetwear brands, Married to the Mob, has teamed up with Colette in Paris to release a limited edition T-shirt. Designed to coincide with the French brand's collaboration series commemorating the 50th Birthday anniversary of everyone's favorite childhood playmate, Barbie, the T-shirts will come in three colorways and should be available for purchase shortly. Designer Jeremy Scott has also designed a limited-edition Barbie-inspired collection to be unleashed at Colette's Paris shop, so stay tuned for images from that as well.
Additionally, Karl Lagerfeld also collaborated with the brand to release a series of snap-shots featuring a life-sized Barbie doll in various fashions, posing with real-life French model Baptiste Giabiconi. The images will be displayed in Colette's store windows from March 9th to 15th. View a few sample shots below.
