Hellz Loves Us! They Really Do!

If this isn't proof enough that my fashion lover, Hellz Bellz, and I are meant to be, then I don't know what is!

Images of the sportswear company's collaboration with Reebok were just leaked today on HighSnobette, and what do you know-- the sneak has lovingly been coined the "Ladies First" model!! A black high top featuring bright yellow laces, a tightly perforated leather upper, and subtle row of spiky studs, the Ladies First is exactly what we would have expected from Hellz' foray into footwear! Always paying the upmost attention to detail, Hellz Bellz included understated design choices such as a fold-down polka dotted upper and cushiony insoles reading "I'm Ten Steps Ahead of You!". Finished off with the signature Hellz nail polish bottle logo, the slogan is mean to inspire the ladies to always be FIRST in the game!

I cannot wait for these to drop! They're exactly what makes me so swoon-y about Hellz in the first place. The design is edgy (see the studs and neon-yellow laces) and fun, while still being entirely wearable. Unlike other brands (cough cough *Nike* cough cough), Hellz understands that marketing casualwear to women means more than just slapping some pink and glitter on a sneaker and calling it a day.

That's why we're soulmates. And clearly Hellz knows this! At least that's what the voices in my head keep telling me...

Hellz CLASS and PROJECT Preview

My fashion boo, Hellz Bellz, has just released a couple of preview pics from their Spring '10 collection, which they will be previewing at the CLASS Trade Show in Santa Monica this weekend, as well as at PROJECT in Vegas in early September.

How inspiring are these pieces? Edgy, feminine but punky. Wear with heels, wear with Docs... even rock this shit barefoot and you'd still look hot as hell! I am really feeling that draped, slashed dress and the biker shorts. And can we dialogue for a minute about the Hellz Harem

Hellz Bellz Fall 09: Style Warriors

My fashion boo Hellz Bellz always makes me smile, and I sure am grinning with the release of their new Fall 09 lookbook.

Cleverly called Style Warriors, the Fall 2009 Delivery 1 collection is a sophisticated presentation of Amazonian inflected pieces. This season's color palate includes darker tones such as a rich elephant grey, navy and red, as well as neon yellow and fuchsia. Featuring traditional pieces in trendy cuts, such as the cropped sweatshirt, and inspirational new designs such as the button up shirt-dress with a whimsical tribal print, the collection stakes new ground without abandoning the practicality and comfort you've come to expect from Hellz.

Every piece is as funky as it is wearable. A zip-up sweatshirt becomes durable high-fashion when given the Hellz treatment-- a graphically interesting layout and a stunning color palate. From the Ts to the polka-dotted tribal leggings, each garment is something that I can see myself working into my day-to-day wardrobe. Paired with more extravagant items for a night out on the town, or toned down with a simple top for the workweek, Hellz Bellz continues to impress me with their dedication to spicing up a woman's style foundations.

I'm having a fashion meltdown! We all know that I have a bit of a crush on the genius that is Hellz Bellz . But it just got a bit more serious. Taking-it-to-the-next-level serious. We're talkin' going steady status.

Hellz has just released some preview images from the upcoming accessories collaboration with Miss Wax Jewelery and I am in love! Seriously, can anyone or anything else honestly make me as happy as Hellz does?! I sincerely doubt it.... Count down to the collection debut in November 09.

This Is Not A Hellz Blog!

Believe it or not, this is not a Hellz Bellz Blog. Lanie doesn't pay us. We don't even get free shit. That doesn't stop me from gushing nonsensically about the glorious designs that female streetwear heavyweight Hellz Bellz drops each and every season. 

Entitled "So Lolita", the summer collection unleashes a new round of the creative, ironic T-shirts and tanks that have become standards for Hellz each season. Evoking irreverent humor and a playful, seductive spirit, the line expands beyond Ts. Cut-and-sew pieces include volume heavy bubble minis, intricately studded vests, suspender-inspired tops, and lightweight nylon jackets. From guns and plaids, to screenprints and girlie cartoon graphics, the collection's imagery stays true to Hellz' mission to create clothing for their independent, fashion-forward, and impossibly sexy fanbase.

Shot by Broke Nipar, and modeled by her flyness Julia Vaughn, I cannot praise the lookbook enough! Kanye West is already a fan, and the collection is receiving more than positive reviews on the net, touted as another stunner straight from Hellz! Hellz Bellz loves to be a fashion tease-- they've released just one sneak peak shot of their upcoming Summer 09 collection! The guns are sick, I NEED this in my life this very instant! Lanie is always keepin' it fresh, and I'm sure she won't disappoint with her upcoming cycle of fashion forward designs!

Ain't No Love Like Hellz Bellz In the City...

Streetwear heavyweights HellzBellz have leaked images from their Spring 2009 collection, entitled "Culture Clash". The first installment in the upcoming season's releases, the warm-weather collection was inspired by HellzBellz's home base, New York mothaf*ckin City!

According to Lanie, founder, designer, and all-around creative guru for the line, the cultural diversity of the 5 boroughs was ultimately the inspiration behind the direction of the line:

"Taking it back to where it all began… NYC of course, the collection was inspired by the cultural melting pot itself, bringing to you a line full of vibrant colors and patterns, uniting and bridging cultural boundaries."

From Asian prints to animal skins, the collection is one of Bellz' best in my opinion. Intricately crafted T-shirts and boyishly fun jackets provide the rough-and-tumble aesthetic that the modern woman looks for, while alluring sweaters and playful leggings offer an innocent

suggestion of sex appeal to temper it all out. I am adoring the variety of prints and treatments available, such as the acid-wash denim jacket, because it easily takes simple pieces from boring to fly.

Hellz-Bellz is Back!

Hellz Bellz has dropped their Holiday '08 collection, inspired by Mae West.

A standout mix of flannels, plaid and comfy hoodies, striped sweaters, and bold bombers jackets, the collection entitled "Born Bad" was inspired by old-time actress Mae West. Designed to show case female strength, durability, and persistence, the empowering yet fashion forward collection is being rolled out to stores and online now.
